“I left home without even being called up to reserve duty. I am filled with pride and a sense of duty, and I always said that if I have to die, I hope it will be in defense of others and the country.”

Shabbat Giborim

A Pledge That They Are Not Forgotten

Thank you for being part of Shabbat Giborim — a global initiative to honor Israel's fallen heroes through Torah learning and acts of kindness. For their families, knowing that Jews around the world remember their loved ones with immense pride and appreciation brings tremendous comfort.

Tragically, more than 1,000 courageous IDF soldiers have fallen since October 7th. As time passes, the world's attention moves on, but the grief of bereaved families does not. Now more than ever, we must remember these heroes, each with a name, a face, and a story, and embrace their loved ones.

The Circle of Remembrance carries that Shabbat through the year. Chumash HaGiborim pairs each fallen hero's story with a Torah lesson drawn from their life. Every week, we send you one of those words of Torah, so that the learning, and the remembering, never stops.

Throughout the Year

Learn about our precious Gibborim. Dedicate your Torah learning and acts of kindness in their memory. Let every page you learn be a pledge that they are not forgotten.

Why Mantzichim

For founder Yehuda Lanzkron, remembrance is personal: his younger brother, Naftali Ben-Zion, hy”d, was murdered at 13 in a terrorist attack on his way to yeshiva in Kedumim. It made remembrance his life's calling. Mantzichim helps the families of Israel's fallen soldiers and victims of terror turn personal loss into a living legacy, through restoring Sifrei Torah L'ilui Nishmat a fallen soldier and Chumash HaGiborim.

How It Works

Three Steps to Keep a Name Alive

Step 1

Join the Circle

Share your name, email, and phone number. It takes a moment and costs nothing.

Step 2

Receive the Weekly Dvar Torah

Every week before Shabbat, a Dvar Torah arrives in your inbox — a Torah lesson drawn from the life of a fallen hero in Chumash HaGiborim.

Step 3

Learn It and Share It

Bring it to your Shabbat table and pass it on to family and guests. Every time a name is spoken, a memory is kept alive.
